Dr. Jonathan Jamel Harvey McReynolds
Rev. Dr. Jonathan Jamel McReynolds humbly serves the Aenon Missionary Baptist Church of Rochester, New York, which was organized in 1923. Aenon is a loving church family consisting of roughly 1500 members. The Aenon family strives to serve Christ and humanity with their reasonable service.
Rev. Dr. McReynolds is a proud product of the nurturing of the Harrison Street and Greater Love Missionary Baptist Churches of Paducah, Kentucky. He was licensed and ordained by his late Grandfather the Rev. Dr. W.G. Harvey Sr. He is a fourth generation clergy and has served in various leadership capacities within the Baptist witness, including the office of Vice-Moderator and District Overseer in Columbus, Ohio. His first two pastoral assignments (Little Union MBC of Bandana, Kentucky and the Historic First Baptist Church of Chillicothe, Ohio) were instrumental in nurturing his family and contributing to his spiritual formation. Dr. McReynolds served on pastoral assignment for nine years in Columbus, Ohio, where many souls were touched, he served faithfully and lasting relationships were established in the city and congregation. Currently he serves on the faculty staff of the National Baptist Convention USA Inc. teaching in the Missions Division.
Rev. Dr. McReynolds is a product of the Paducah Tilghman High School, Wilberforce University achieving a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management, United Theological Seminary acquiring a Master of Arts Degree in Christian Ministry and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling. He graduated from an Executive Studies Program at Harvard Divinity School, in Church-Based Economic and Community Development.
Rev. Dr. McReynolds is affiliated with several Baptist organizations and various fellowships, which further the witness of Christ and expand his paradigm and praxis of how to serve the Aenon family and the entire body of Christ.
Rev. Dr. McReynolds is the father of four children; three boys and a daughter. He is honored to be married to the one whom God has assigned to his life; his joy and soul-mate Princess McReynolds, who has been his only wife and love. She is his help-meet in life and ministry.
Rev. Dr. McReynolds strives to live his life under the banner of his favorite scripture Job 36:11, “If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasure.”
